My research centers on the importance of human movement for health and performance across the lifespan, with a particular focus on how movement and cognition are intertwined and shaped by our evolutionary past. My goal is to understand how and why physical activity supports brain health and physical function by testing evolutionary hypotheses from head to foot, and to translate these findings into practical strategies that promote healthy aging.
